Tableau de Bord

BrixFax interface system

UI Overview

The working home for the new BrixFax interface. Decisions are recorded here first, tested in isolation, and then applied progressively to real application pages.

Working principles

Principle

Mobile first

Cellphone use is the default design case; wider layouts enhance rather than replace it.

Principle

Reusable, centralized, and lightweight

Shared behavior, presentation, and configuration should have one source of truth. Prefer reusable components and central tokens, but avoid unnecessary database reads, client JavaScript, and runtime indirection.

Principle

Calm application UI

Public and everyday areas should feel clear, friendly, and spacious without decorative excess.

Principle

Efficient operational UI

TDB tools may remain denser, while sharing the same typography, controls, states, and visual language.

Implementation order

  1. Agree the foundation and name the design variables.
  2. Standardize the smallest reusable components.
  3. Combine them into approved page patterns.
  4. Review realistic full-page previews in all interface modes.
  5. Apply the system first to Shopping Lists, then the catalogue, then operational tools.
